BEHIND THE LENS

 

Lisa Kinnard has been a freelance photographer since 2012.  Her artistic vision is inspired by people and objects in their most natural states, where specifically she prefers natural light over artificial light.  When possible, she likes to shoot people outdoors and often engages them in conversation for the purpose of evoking pleasant memories.  She most enjoys shooting nature, visual and performing arts,  celebrations and sacred spaces.  Her work has appeared in the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE) show (2018 and 2019),  the Art Hop Takoma show (2019), an art exposition highlighting artists from the Ward 4 region of Washington DC (2019), Femalia (2023) Praxis Gallery Photographic Arts Center, and Women in Photography '24 (2024) The Glasgow Gallery of Photography.
